Karen Jones was BBC Young Musician of the Year woodwind finalist in 1982, gold medallist at the Shell-LSO Scholarship in 1985, and won a Fulbright Scholarship and Harkness Fellowship to study in New York, where she first came to the attention of Leonard Bernstein. She joined the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra as first flute at the age of twenty-two and is now a guest flute player for the major London orchestras and a professor at the Royal Academy of Music. As a freelance she has accompanied the Harry Potter films – and played with Sting, Thomas Adès, Madonna and at Prince William’s wedding.

Australian violinist Ann Beilby made her debut at the Sydney Opera House aged 18 before switching to the viola for its rich depth of sound. She was a founding member of the Cavaleri Quartet and made her debut at the Wigmore Hall in 2016. She plays a modern viola made for her in 2011 by David Milward.

Hugh Webb was principal harp of the Philharmonia Orchestra from 2001-2012 and now regularly freelances as guest principal harp with the RPO, LSO and BBC Symphony Orchestra. Hugh is also active in composing and has played on the soundtrack of many films and TV series.
