A service in the church to mark the completion of the harvest – all welcome, especially children and families connected with Penshurst CoE school.

Philip Sidney Autumn Leaves and Harvest Sheaves
Dr Philip Sidney, direct descendant of Elizabethan courtier, soldier and famous poet Sir Philip Sidney introduces a selection autumnal poetry read by Penshurst voices.
The selection will also include short-listed entries for the inaugural Sir Philip Sidney Poetry Competition. There are two prizes, one open to all and one to children under 12.
Ploughman's Lunch 12.45 - 14.00
The poetry readings will be followed by a ploughman's lunch at which the prize winners will be announced. Lunch will be free but donations will be welcomed.
